Business contact information
This is the whole point of the product, so it is stated first and plainly rather than buried.
investig8 identifies companies that may be a fit for a product, and collects business contact information about the relevant people at them: name, role, employer, business email address, company website, and links to publicly posted company pages. If you are reading this because we contacted you, that is what we held.
Where it comes from
Publicly accessible sources only: company websites, public directories and public listings. We do not collect from private groups or communities, we do not buy or rent contact lists, and we do not scrape platforms whose terms forbid it. LinkedIn is excluded from our architecture entirely and we do not collect from it.
Why we hold it
To contact you once, from a named human, about whether a specific product is relevant to your work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in reaching potential business customers, weighed against a low impact on you: this is work contact information, used for one relevant message, with a standing offer to stop.
What we do not do with it
We do not sell it, rent it, license it, or share it with any other party. We do not use it to train models. We do not build behavioural profiles, and we do not track what you do after we contact you beyond whether you replied.
Who can see it
Only Jonathan Poeder, plus the processors below acting on our instructions.
How to be removed
Reply to any message and say so, in any words, or write to contact+privacy@i8l.tech. We add you to a permanent suppression list and never contact you again. That entry is the minimum record needed to keep the promise, and it is kept precisely so we cannot contact you again by mistake. Ask and we will delete everything else we hold about you.
You do not need to explain, justify, or use particular wording, and we will not ask why.
If you visit this site
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless, does not fingerprint you, does not follow you across sites, and reports aggregates only. Cloudflare processes standard request data such as IP address and user agent to serve pages and defend against abuse.
No advertising trackers, no ad networks, no social pixels.
If you contact us
Mail reaches a mailbox hosted by Zoho. We keep
correspondence to reply and to keep an accurate record. Tagged addresses such
as contact+investig8@i8l.tech tell us which page you wrote from.
That is routing, not profiling.
Who processes data on our behalf
- Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery, cookieless analytics.
- Zoho: email hosting and the mailbox outreach is sent from.
- Anthropic: the AI models that research and summarise a company and draft a message. The business contact information above is processed by these models to produce that research and that draft.
Each acts on our instructions. None may use your information for their own purposes.
How long we keep things
- Business contact information: while a company is a live prospect, then deleted. Immediately on request.
- Suppression entries: indefinitely and deliberately.
- Correspondence: as long as the relationship or a legal or accounting obligation requires.
- Analytics: aggregate only, never tied to you.
Your rights
Ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or tell us to stop. One email does all of it: contact+privacy@i8l.tech. We do not require a particular form of words and will not make you create an account to ask.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority. We have never sold personal information and have no plans to.
Children
investig8 is a business tool, is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will change the effective date above, and tell you directly where we hold your address and the change affects you.
