Who these apply to
investig8 is a buyer research tool operated by Innov8ive Labs, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company trading as Innov8iveLabs, run by Jonathan Poeder at 2347 W Charleston St., Chicago, IL 60647, USA. By using this website or the service you accept these terms.
Where we have signed a separate written agreement with you, that agreement governs and prevails over anything here that conflicts with it.
What the service does
investig8 finds companies that may be a fit for what you sell, gathers publicly available information about them, and drafts an opening message for a human to review. It is research and drafting. It is not an autonomous sales agent and it does not send anything on its own.
Sending is yours, and it is required
Nothing is sent without an explicit human review and send. Drafts are staged for you to read, edit and send yourself. When you send, you are the sender: you are responsible for the content of the message and for complying with the law that applies to it.
What you are responsible for
- Compliance with anti-spam law where you and your recipients are, which in the US means CAN-SPAM at a minimum: accurate headers, a real physical address, an honest subject line, and a working opt-out you honour.
- Honouring removal requests promptly and permanently.
- Not using the service to contact people who have already asked you to stop, or to send anything unlawful, deceptive or harassing.
- The accuracy of anything you add to a draft before sending.
Using investig8 does not transfer these obligations to us. You are the sender of your own mail.
What we are responsible for
Collecting only from publicly accessible sources, handling contact information as set out in our Privacy Policy, honouring removal requests made to us, and not selling or sharing what we hold.
Research is research
The information investig8 surfaces is gathered from public sources and may be incomplete, stale or wrong. Verify anything that matters before you rely on it. Nothing the service produces is legal, financial or professional advice, and no result is a guarantee of a reply, a meeting or a sale.
Ownership
Your campaign definitions, your edits and the messages you send remain yours. The service, this site, the investig8 and Innov8iveLabs names and marks, and the research and drafting methods behind them remain ours.
Acceptable use of this site
- Do not interfere with the site or probe it for vulnerabilities without written permission.
- Do not use automated means to place a disproportionate load on it.
- Do not use it to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
Found a security problem? Tell us at contact+security@i8l.tech. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine issue in good faith and gives us a reasonable chance to fix it.
Liability
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that research will be complete or accurate. To the fullest extent the law allows, Innov8ive Labs, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service or this site, including loss arising from messages you chose to send.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending it
You can stop using investig8 at any time. We may suspend or end access where these terms are breached, where use is unlawful, or where we have reason to believe the service is being used to send unsolicited mail in breach of the responsibilities above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, and the courts of Illinois have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date above will change when we do, and continuing to use the service means you accept the updated version.
